Tranter PRO PhysIQ

This site has been modified as the nature of my personal business continues to evolve. My personal Fitness & Wellness Consulting Company is called:

TranterPro PhysIQ

This name reflects my engagement in 3 activities:

1) Physiology & Biomechanics Instructor (Everest College - London, ON),

2) Running & Strength Coach (LPC - Loaring Personal Coaching), and

3) PROtrainer (Canadian Fitness Professionals).

Recently, I was certified as one of 200 by CanFitPro (one of the world's largest Fitness Companies) as a PROtrainer; essentially I have the authority to certify personal trainers with the PTS (personal training specialist) and NWS (nutrition and wellness specialist) designations. I qualified based on my 5 years as an OCT (Ontario Certified Teacher) teaching enriched Science and Biology, founder of an Exercise Physiology Club (XPC) and experience as an elite athlete coach and trainer. I was assessed by a panel of directors for CanFitPro in Toronto on June 4th, presenting a BIOENERGETICS lesson to Fitness Professional candidates. For more on this, see me for a video presentation.

I continue to work at the London Masonville GoodLife, but as my own entity "Tranter PRO PhysIQ", and later the time commitment will shift to James Loaring for LPC - Loaring Personal Coaching (www.loaring.com). I am also coaching 2 runners (soccer emphasis and cross-country emphasis).

In July, I begin to act upon my goal to teach at the highest scientific level I am comfortable; as a Fitness Professional Program - Physiology and Biomechanics Instructor. As a PROtrainer I possess the ability to certify students. Duties include exam proctoring and teaching CanFitPro curriculum.

OTHER NEWS

Life is good! Hilary has been very successful with job interviews; she is now a Guidance Counsellor! We will remain in the London area in the fall, at Colbourne and Central, near our primary employers.

I won the Guelph Lake 10k in 34:33 on June 6th, 2010. I ran with James and 3 other fast guys, but I decided I needed this win to toughen myself for the ultimate quest of proving 6 hours of training a week can make you a champion! I put 20 seconds on a runner that was on my side with a mile to go.

My next goal: compete in the USCKA (US Canoe/Kayak Assoc.) Tri-state championship - a 15k marathon kayak race in Bristol, IN., the same place I raced nationals in 2008! I will transform my slender PhysIQ into a powerful water-skimming machine! LOL. Conveinent working at the best fitness facility in SW Ontario, the best Concept II rowers, and strength machines. Carpe Diem!
